It’s not easy being you.

I say that not because I’m in your shoes. It isn’t easy to pull through school. It isn’t easy to earn your pay as a grown up. It isn’t easy to be a youth. It isn’t easy to be a leader. It isn’t easy with family and friends. It isn’t easy at church. We don’t always get it easy. The sea gets stormy ever now and then and life assaults us all kinds of stuff that we’re never ready for. But what matters more then the “what I feel now” is “how it’s all going to work out”. However, the thing is we don’t know exactly how it’s going to work out. But yet we have hope and trust because we know Jesus will come through for us. That’s our faith which keeps us going. Thank you Jesus!

Family

OK, decided I would start off by posting about an outing Andrew and I had recently with my cousin Eng Sze and her boyfriend Yu Shen to take my grandma out for an evening (Hans came along too). First we went to East Coast Park, walked along the beach enjoying the sunset before tucking into dinner at the Food Centre. Not crowded on weekdays so that was good. Then we wanted to drive to Temple St in Chinatown for the highly rated Mango and Pomelo iced dessert, but we lost our way on the highway and ended up in VivoCity instead. Which turned out to be a good choice cos my cousin’s boyfriend was still a bit hungry, and so was I! So we ended up at the food court where there were supper and dessert choices aplenty. This outing was pretty meaningful to me cos as my grandma ages and her memory and hearing get poorer, it’s harder and harder for her to keep up with conversations around the house. Plus most of the family is out of the house most of the day so I’m sure it gets lonely and boring for her at home. Trying to bring her out every so often and also chat with her at home to change this =) enjoy the pics!
