Yearly we celebrate Parents’ Day which falls on Mothers’ Day (just so dad’s don’t feel left out ha) This year for Parents’ Day, the youth and young adults worked hard to organize church worship service and prepared lunch for our dear parents… or at least we tried too!

On Sabbath, after the worship service and lunch we had a special “Parents Children Dialog” where both parties had a chance to voice their views on “FREEDOM! vs. CONTROL”.

I say its not easy being a parent neither is it easy being a kid. As kids, we need to earn our parent’s trust by acting responsibly. And as parents they too need to earn their kids trust being approachable, loving and accepting. Neither sides always get it right but whatever it is we want to thank our parents’ for all the love they have showered on us!

After so long, I was able to get my password back from wordpress. Geez’ums, wordpress is demanding.
Okay, I’m here to blog about Cell 2(and ZM)’s trip to Pitstop before Christon kills me for more late work. Hehe. I don’t have all the pictures yet, but I’ll post the best ones as soon as I get my hands on them.
On the third of April, that’s Thursday, Cell 2 met up for one of the coolest cell outings ever. A few of us had a bit of trouble getting there dry and on time. It was raining and it was a weekday after all. However, none of us got lost and we all got there at around 7 eventually, which is actually saying something because for once nobody was more than an hour’s late.
Well. The narrow staircase looked like you were about to ascend into some strange little store room with lots of mice and enough space for you to put your toe into one of the mouse-traps, then make yourself go deaf by screaming too loudly in an enclosed space, but then like magic, the room the door opened into was large, airy, and pretty. I told you it was magic.
I think the walls were red, but then you couldn’t really tell anyway, because whatever wall space they had was plastered over with layers of memories and notes in the form of permanent marker and photographs. And they had this giant shelf in the corner full of ubercool obscure boardgames that made me drool.
The games we played in order were.. Okay fine, actually I hardly remember the title of the games itself. The first game was something to do with dinosaurs and cards. And that’s where my memory goes haywire, because that’s when the food comes in. I bet none of you can remember either. Anyway, in the end we made a lot noise playing some hybrid-type game that was a cross between heart attack and cards; another that required us to use both our left brains and our right brains (and we all know who rocks best at that, don’t we?); and one that made us do animal sounds.
Beep beep!
Where else can you play board games, scream, eat, and be cool all at the same time?

soooo, on the 22nd, saturday, cell3 and 4 had a (super fun) combined christmas sleepover at the Lee family’s house ![]()
most of us arrived like late afternoon/early evening with a few exceptions like tricia, truddy, yahui, pengkong. AND WE COOKED! hohoho.
it was pretty fun cooking campbell soup, frying nuggets and seaweed chicken and criss-cut fries (XD!!), toasting garlic bread, roasting the turkey, cutting kueh lapis, etc.
but some people got themselves fried by sputtering oil in the process of cooking cos they probably thought it fun to dunk nuggets into a wok full of boiling-hot oil:)
we also ordered pizza for dinner:D so yeah dinner was great (y) and i think everyone enjoyed themselves. right?
after dinner, we played a few games, namely ultimate charm, seven up, and something else i cant rmb. some individuals amazed everyone by not getting ANY forfeit! :O which is honestly quite an achievement for some:)
gift exchange was fun too, cos everyone took turns to unwrap their gifts, then guess who was the one who got it for you. and anyone who doesnt get it after 3 guesses earns him/herself the priviledge of wearing stuff like an afro-hair wig, huge ears, or a clown’s nose:)
so by the end of it many people had taken turns to look hilarious XD
anyway, after the games and stuff, everyone took turns to bathe wash up cos it was pretty late by then. and we were all lazing around/talking/playing xbox/watching stuff from laptops till everyone eventually dozed off/went to bed.
sleeping arrangements were great(y)
the Lee family’s house is really spacious and comfy so everyone had somewhere to rest:)
kay so, the next morning we got up pretty early. and had a yummy breakfast, followed by people gradually going home.
yeppppp so thats about it for our very wonderful christmas sleepover:)
thank God for blessing the food, the fun, the people, the arrangements, so that we were all able to enjoy ourselves:D
anw, the 25th of Dec is coming to an end in approximately an hour or so, therefore enjoy whats left of this very MERRY CHRISTMAS;D
and remember to be grateful for the greatest gift of ALL TIME!
take careeee:)
